The Bruno Cavallini Prize was established in 1996 by Vittorio Sgarbi in Barcis on the occasion of another major literary event, the "Poetry Prize Giuseppe disease of the Valley. The prize, though born in Barcis, in recent years has been moved to Pordenone, the convent of San Francesco.
