Built on the spot of an apparition of the Madonna seventeenth century, the current sanctuary is in style between Gothic and eclectic. This miracle drew many faithful around the image of Mary and many offers that were accumulated with which it was possible to erect the church whose foundation stone was laid on October 28, 1626.
This church, which for nearly three centuries greeted the faithful that turned to Mary receiving favors and graces, at the end of 1800 was replaced by a new much larger church, while the old and small church is still partially visible next to the current Sanctuary.
